Like you, REcolorado is part of the community! Fostering relationships with customers, employees, and the broader community is one of the most important and meaningful aspects of our day-to-day experience. Here are some of the ways REcolorado gives back to the community where we live and serve.
Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation
Every Coloradan deserves a place to call HOME. This is the fundamental belief of the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) Foundation, which is the philanthropic arm of the Colorado Association of REALTORS. This year, REcolorado contributed $25,000 to the CAR Foundation as a dollar-for-dollar match your donations to the Boulder County Fire Relief Fund. Together we provided funding to assist in short- and long-term housing related relief to support our fellow Coloradans.
REALTORS® Relief Foundation
REcolorado is proud to join the REALTOR® Community in supporting REALTORS® Relief Foundation. Together our donations are used to support victims of disaster relief throughout the country. Best of all, every dollar donated goes directly to victims of the disaster because the National Association of REALTORS® covers 100% of administrative expenses.
Knock Knock Angels
Founded by REALTOR® Vickie Lobo in California, and carried into Colorado by Scott Matthias and Barrett Miller, Knock Knock Angels aims to serve newly housed individuals and families who have recently overcome homelessness by providing the necessary home furnishings to make their new houses homes. REcolorado employees are working alongside the outstanding REALTORS at the South Metro Denver REALTORS® Association to collect household items. Join us in supporting Knock Knock Angels by dropping off donated goods at REcolorado.
Corporate Ally Program
The Corporate Ally Program (CAP) is a powerful partnership between the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and corporate allies that is aimed at protecting, promoting, and strengthening the real estate industry. A stronger industry is the foundation you need to run your business and we need to be your MLS partner. That is why we support CAP every year. Together the funding we provide supports advocacy efforts at every level of government.
REcolorado Employees Giving Back
In addition to corporate giving, REcolorado employees contribute to fundraising and volunteer efforts across the community. REcolorado employees are given one paid day per year to support the causes in our community. Additionally, our company has an enthusiastic and generous Employee Committee that organizes many more ways for our team to support the local organizations that are close to our hearts.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
The Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of their journey. REcolorado had the honor of participating in the More than Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and raised close to $700 in addition to walking in the event.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children realize their potential and build their futures. Our very own Jessi Anderson has been matched with her “little” for just over a year. Here is what she had to say about her experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters:
I have had the extraordinary opportunity to be a Big to my 15, and now 16-year-old little. We have shared some amazing memories together and have grown with each other over this last year. She has a service dog that I have had the pleasure of getting to know as well! My goal as a Big is to provide a safe space for her to be herself along with helping her realize her potential in this life.

Denver Over the Edge
Denver Over the Edge is an exclusive event for the Cancer League of Colorado. A familiar face at REcolorado, Jennifer Costello participated in this life-changing opportunity, where she rappelled 36 stories while raising money for Colorado-based cancer research.
We Don’t Waste
We Don’t Waste works to reduce hunger and food waste in the Denver area by recovering quality, unused food from the food industry and delivering it to nonprofit partners, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools, daycare programs, and more. REcolorado employees c contributed to this amazing foundation by participating in mobile food drives, which involved distributing food to.
Back-to-School Supply Drive
REcolorado was proud to participate in the Back-to-School Supply Drive for Denver Public Schools this year with You Give Goods and Alturas Capital Partners!
Giving back to the community is a priority for many REALTOR® associations across the state year-round, especially during the holiday season when so many in the community need assistance. Please join us, in sharing how you have given back to the communities you serve this year in the comments below!
