How to Identify Brokers with Potential Buyers for Your Listings

Reverse Prospecting allows you to view a list of brokers, with potential buyers for your listing. If your listing was included in an auto email that was sent to a client, it will give that broker’s:

  • Name
  • Contact Information
  • Client Reference Number

It will also tell you if that client marked your listing as a “favorite” or “possibility”. Reverse Prospecting is a unique marketing tool that allows you to demonstrate to your sellers that there are interested parties and allows you to easily reach out to buyers agents who have buyers interested in your listing.

Here’s how to access Reverse Prospect, and generate a list for your listing:

  • From your Matrix Dashboard locate the widget called “My Listings”
  • Inside the widget click “Active Listings”

To select the listings from your Reverse Prospect list:

  • Click on the listings ID number
  • Scroll to the bottom of the listing, and locate the button bar
  • Click on the button labeled “Reverse Prospect”

A Reverse Prospect List presents. Lets go over the information displayed on a reverse prospect list. From left to right you will see:

  • The buyers agent’s name
  • A reference number which is used by the buyers agent to identify the buyer
  • Preapproved – which shows if the buyer is preapproved
  • Count – which indicates the number of listings in a client’s portal that matches the listing agents property
  • Folder Icon – which indicates if the buyer has marked the property as a “Favorite” or “Possibility”
  • Buyers agent’s email
  • Buyers agent’s office
  • Buyers agent’s mobile phone number

Reverse prospect is available on Active and Pending listings. After generating the report, listing agents can contact the buyers agents one by one.

If wanting to send a direct email to a buyers agent on your reverse prospect list:

  • Click the buyers agents name – an email screen will present
  • Type in a custom message
  • Click “Send”
