Four walls and a roof make up the structure of a house, but it’s everything inside that can transform it into a home. Knock Knock Angels brings this concept to life by providing individuals and families who have recently overcome homelessness with the essentials they need, so when they walk into their new house, it already feels like home. They supply beds for children who have been sleeping in cars or on floors, dining room tables to families that have been eating on park benches, and services that support a healthy lifestyle.
Founded by REALTOR® Vickie Lobo, and brought to Colorado by Scott Mathias and Barrett Miller, the organization was created to give people a fresh start after traumatic events including domestic violence, homelessness, neglect, and addiction. They have a particular focus on veterans, single mothers, and seniors. The organization earned a Good Neighbor Award from the National Association of REALTORS® for the outstanding work they’ve done in the community.
