Giving back to the community is a priority for many REALTOR® associations across the state year-round, but it’s especially important during the holiday season when so many in the community need assistance. Below, we’ve collected a list of charitable-giving efforts throughout the state this month.
If you know of a charitable-giving effort or association event that is not on this list, please let us know in the comment section!
Denver Metro Association of REALTORS®
DMAR Gives is the Denver Metro Association of Realtors®’ social responsibility program that envisions a Denver Metro community in which everyone has access to a home, equality in the homebuying process, and support in achieving self-sufficiency in life. DMAR Gives works to provide funding to programs that improve the quality of life for Coloradans and create a path toward stable housing and homeownership, as well as provide housing-related disaster relief in the communities where our members live and work. Please consider making a donation to DMAR Gives.

SMDRA’s Holiday Brunch is in support of our own local Boys and Girls Clubs, which are part of the fabric of every community in America. Why Boys and Girls Clubs? To support the partnership with the National Association of REALTORS® and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. As the premier youth-serving organization in the U.S., Boys and Girls Clubs serve as a “home away from home” for nearly four million kids each year during the critical time after school and in the summer. SMDRA is working to give back and make a difference for boys and girls, while strengthening our communities.

Steamboat Springs Board of REALTORS®
Inspired by one REALTOR®’s experience helping a friend to “keep the lights and heat on” during the pandemic, the Steamboat Springs Board of REALTORS® has created the Community Utility Support Program (CUSP) with the hope that the fund will grow into the future and help individuals in crisis.
- The REALTORS® will donate raised funds to two local organizations, LiftUp Routt County and Community Budget Center, both of which historically require additional funds to meet the demand for utility support in Routt County. These two organizations will approve individual requests and pay companies directly with allocated funds.
- Focusing on utilities, CUSP will free up funds for these two organizations so that they have more funds to allocate to other housing needs.
- Steamboat REALTORS® invite all affiliates and community members to contribute to this much needed support.
- The CUSP fund will be housed at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, allowing for an easy and tax-deductible platform for anyone to donate.

You can also join the Steamboat Springs Board of REALTORS® for the 35th Annual REALTOR® Community Christmas Dinner on December 25 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Steamboat Springs Community Center (located next to the Transit Center). Everyone is invited to enjoy the great food and good company!
